  • 13 Year old sons STOP AND SEARCH for being a suspected drug dealer. HELP!

Hi, I am new to the forum and really hoping someone can give me some information or help on how to go about this issue.
My 13 year old son got off the bus in to our local town center with his friend and headed directly to JD Sports, when they had got inside the shop 2 police officers ran in, grabbed them and physically removed them from the shop then put them in the back of the police van, told them they were detained and searched them on suspicion of drug dealing. My son has never had anything to do with drugs and I have brought him up to be a well manner child , respect everyone and not to be afraid of the police. Now he is afraid to go out in to town due to this incident. Obviously he did not get the officers names or numbers because of being scared and not really knowing anything about dealing with the police. I know the time and date of the incident so can I request information from the police as in body cam footage, officers that detained them, etc.
The police have not contacted me either which surely they have to do so if detaining a child and putting him in a van out of view of the public!
Your help in this matter is greatly appreciated and how do you think I should move forward with it?
    Kind regards
    Chris Cullen

    Extremely frightening for your son.

The strict procedures for "stop and search" do not appear to have been followed so you might find this website will help you formulate your complaint: https://yjlc.uk/resources/legal-terms-z/stop-and-search

This website ( lawyer's blog)might also give you food for thought,https://iaingould.co.uk/blog/

    Good luck
