  • PCN from private parking company/Debt Recovery

    Hi All,

I received a PCN from a private parking firm (Gemini parking Solutions) they originally asked for £60 with an increase to £100 if not paid with 14 days. I responded with a cease and desist letter and check to cover the unpaid parking balance (£5) this was on the 27/02/23 I have since not heard any back from Gemini parking Solutions. They have not cashed the check.

But have now received a letter from a company called Debt recovery plus chasing for £170 with the threat of legal action etc.

Please advise what the best next steps are I know these guys send threatening letters to attempt to acquire the balance however I would like to not just ignore them with the hope they don't take it court.

    Please advise

    many thanks

I think sending in the cheque for £5 was a big mistake. You should have appealed the ticket, however by sending in £5, you have basically admitted being in contravention of the parking terms & conditions.

      DRP can be ignored.
      Just file the letter.
If you receive a letter before claim from the parking co or their solicitors, post back on this thread.
