Hi I am 16 and I am from an another country I have student visa.Today i did something I am really ashamed of I was going to buy a blanket from primark but the line as too long so I decided to leave they took me to the security office and got my address and personal information. They told me I will recieve RLP, the first problem is I am going to my country in 10 days for christmas break and I don’t know what time RLP will come to my address and they told me if i don’t pay the fine(they said its a small amount but everyone in internet says its way too much than that) then I will have a criminal record but everyone in internet says that they are ignoring the letter.I am not a citizen so would ignoring the letter would affect the chances of me getting into a universiy?Thank you.

    Just ignore RLP
They do not issue fines, just invoices for non existent losses which have no legal basis
they just send a series of demands which you can ignore.
They do not do house visits, so you will not see them on your doorstep

You will not get a criminal record and it will not affect your prospects regarding university
