  • Recommendations alleged mistreatment in prison

A climate activist received a short prison sentence. He alleges that he was mistreated, e.g 2 ribs broken, whilst inside. Had he any way of getting compensation for unacceptable treatment.
Leaving aside political issues I would be interested in finding out possible redress for alleged wrongdoing by officers and management. Thanks.

He has a right to sue - always assuming that the injuries occurred as the result of tortious behaviour by the prison officers.

Very difficult in that environment. Otherwise unlikely to happen, if it did. I'm being very careful.
