Hi Thank you for allowing me to join.
I am looking for advice for one of my elderly neighbours who wishes to block the development using his property to access the new build.
we live at the end of a road 6 houses share a drive to their garages. The end house has applied for planning permission to demolish their garage and build a new house which will be built onto the side of their house but would have to use the shared drive to access new parking. Several of us opposed as they have never sought permission to use the shared access to gain access to this new parking.
unfortunately we are not able to pursue anything legally as we are not one of the houses that share this acess.
what can I advise them to do.
How much would something like this cost financially for him.

Sorry, but it is not easy to understand just what is going on from your post.

How are the existing rights of way supported?
Is the new parking on a different plot?

Amongst other things, doesn't this require investigation who owns the drive and who has what right of way?
