  • High view Parking/ Dcblegal County Court claim

I have received County Court documents alleging that a vehicle I own was in breach of terms on Cs parking signs. Date of claim issued 27/09/2018. Horizon retail park, Farnborough.
Claiment claims £170 total of PCN’s and damages….plus interest, costs and court fees. Amount claimed £226+£35 Court fees +£50 legal rep’s costs. Total £311.24

The vehicle is mine. I did park in that car park on the day in question. I was shopping in the retail Park, trying to choose furniture and carpets for our house. The parking signs are around however very small print.

I think the original PCN was for £100 reducing to £60 if paid in 14 days. I ignored the PCN’s as I assumed as it was parking for the retail park it would go away! The increases in the fine for breaching a contract I never agreed to are unjustified as are the claims for Damage.

I am looking for Advice on how to defend this unjustified charge for parking a car at a retail park.

    Thank you

I have completed the Acknowledgement of service on line to allow for 28 days from the date of service. Letter dated 0109 2022. Plus 5 days = date of service + 28 days gives defence submitted before Oct 4th by my calculations
