URGENT 24.06.2022 Parking Charge 6 Months Late? Is It Valid To Issue Ticket So Late?

Hi everyone. New on this forum today

I have received a reminder letter in the post from a company by the name of CP Plus for a parking charge offence dating back from 06.12.2021. So before Christmas last year?

I have been away for a couple of weeks, checked through all post thoroughly twice and have not received the 1st letter they are referring to in 2nd letter, of discount if fine is paid early and 2nd letter dated 13.06.2022. I have been back a couple of days and am not sure who was driving my car all those many months ago as family members and a couple of my friends use the car regularly on 3rd party cover. I don't want to approach any of them as I myself cannot recall from so long ago.

I would like to know if this parking charge notice is valid given the latest of the notice. Very confused and cannot seem to find a straight answer online with mixed opinions.

So write to CPP stating the this is the first you have heard about this matter and as such it is outside the relevant period and you, as the registered keeper, cannot be held liable.

This should get things moving !
