  • TUI complaint

    Hi everyone,

I just returned from a holiday that was booked as a package with TUI.

We arrived in the evening and unpacked and everything appeared to be OK. The next morning we were woken at 7am by loud construction noise. I went on the balcony and found out that we have been put in a room on the left side of the hotel right next to a large construction site. The noise would start at 7am and finish at 7pm every night.

TUI at no point made is aware there was a large construction site right next to the hotel. As a result we were woken every morning and had to keep the doors closed to try and keep the noise out. It was not possible to relax in the balcony at all due to the constant loud noise.

I informed the fron desk and they were very unhelpful and said the section we were in was for TUI guests. After many complaints they said they would deal with it but just ended up doing nothing. I have documented everything but what do about it? Any help would be appreciated . Thank you Chris H

    Hi,

I think the obvious question to ask is, have you written/spoke to TUI since returning to raise a complaint? Looking at TUI's online FAQs on their website, it suggests you should try to notify the hotel provider, and TUI rep if there is one at the time of the issues, but if not resolved then you contact them within 28 days of returning from holiday.
If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

I spoke with the hotel and TUI when I was in resort but nothing was done. I followed the TUI complaints procedure a wrote a letter of complaint on the 4th July 2022, still no response from TUI.
      What next? Any advice please?

We have had some wonderful holidays with TUI. But I cannot remember we had a problem, many letters no reply, visit Luton head office twice, so small claims Court, not defended, still, money was not returned, call the Sheriffs paid back, and so, if you are getting nowhere with TUI and the so-called Holliday was not as expected write to TUI and say you expect a full refund and you expect a reply by date -------- no response small claims Court.
