  • Right to buy

My partners has been living in his mums house since he was 2. His mum and dad rent a council house and have the right to buy, his mum has suggested that he put his name on the deeds for both of them to buy it. Is this possible ?
if I was to move in, would I be able to put my name on the deeds or would I have to wait 5 years so that we dont have to pay back any of the discount ?
Is my partner able to solely have his name on the deeds and buy the house himself still with a discount ? As he has lived there since a child.
    thanks

It is well worth doing and doing correctly. It is years since I deat wit any of these, so the Regulations are likely to have changed so I will not give an opinion as to whether or how beyiond saying it is almost sinful not to take the right as it presents itself.
