  • Hello I have a Stepchange DMP but want to challenge some of the debts

    Hello,

I have a debt management plan with stepchange that is around £18,000 I got myself into a mess after splitting up with my partner years ago, and I have debts on two barclaycards, a halifax credit card and a halifax loan, they have now all been purchased by debt collection agencies, PRA Group, Link Financial etc, I want to send them a CCA request as I believe this is a step I can take? I am just wondering if there is anything else I can do, can I ask stepchange to suspend the payments to them creditors on the DMP pending them producing the documents?

    Thank you

best you list each alledged debt, full details i.e:- date taken out / amount/ default date / last paid type debt etc etc for starters do not send CCA yet.

Might be an idea to send them a SAR as well, but as Mike says wait until advised.
