  • Stealing from Primark

I know how this sounds but I need advice. This morning I had been caught stealing from Primark with around £57 worth of stuff.

The security guard alongside 2 of the town centre guards, as well as the manager walked up to me and asked me to take everything out of my bag. I complied and showed them everything.

The manager stated that she will write a receipt of everything and walked away. I was then told I was banned from Primark and promptly escorted out.

This is where I got confused with the security guards.

They had stated something along the lines of me being possibly banned from the rest of the town centre - or maybe just the primark itself? Im not sure. They also said I could get arrested for it (not sure if it was towards the ban itself or going back in).

I was then escorted out of the town centre.

The only problem is that I work within one of the stores in the centre of the town (the Primark was outside the bit I work in). And to get to work I’d have to go past the primark - or take a different route. However I’m still inside the town centre.

They never took my name, address, or any obvious photos of me.

Should I be worried that they will tell my store manager?

    Hi Deviox

    Don't get stressed over it.
They can't ban you from your place of work. If they tell your manager,
I would say you had stuff on your mind and it was an innocent mistake.
You tried to explain but, gave up and let them carry on with 'whatever'.
If you miraculously get a speculative invoice, just file it away, but don't pay.
The best thing to do for a month or 2, is use a different route. Then afterwards
    use your usual route.

Oh, it was remiss of me to say. 'don't do it again'.
