I was reading some old message, on here, about these companies and I have similar issues.
When remortgaging in 2007, I asked to take £10,000 more than needed to pay off my ex-husband, thinking this would be added onto the mortgage.
It wasn't, I was given a secured loan with Firstplus. I wasn't aware this was the case until the following year when I got my life back on track and began looking into my finances.
I have been paying Firstplus, initially, and now Elderbridge over £100 a month since 2007. I still owe over £7000 and have another 7 years to pay.
I cannot see how this is right. Can you give me some advice please

    Hi RSHAW

Hopefully an expert will look in on your thread. You will need to be patient (busy at the moment).

      Hi there

I have some experience of dealing with this firm, here is a link to a case i did against Blemain finance, the issues are largely the same and the legal challenges are also broadly the same between the two companies. https://www.theguardian.com/money/20...ng-over-100000
