Hello,
I have a couple of accounts with TM Legal Services due to getting into problems with a couple of payday loans a couple of years ago.
I took these loans out and so am happy to pay them back, however they are claiming too much. I asked them to send me proof of the debts and they have provided the original credit agreements. However the amounts they are claiming do not match up with what is on the paperwork. I have gone back and forth with them trying to get a proper answer but all they have said is when you sign up to the credit agreements you agree to pay any fees and interest. Interest is already included in the original credit agreements and they have provided no extra proof as to what else has been added on.
I complained to the financial ombudsman, they said they can't help because TM aren't registered with themselves and they have no authority, so they recommend the legal ombudsman as TM are regulated by the SRA. Then the legal ombudsman came back and said they can't help either as they haven't provided a legal service. Is there anyone else I can take my complaint to? Has anyone experienced a similar problem? Or should I just see them in court knowing that they haven't provided proof of what they are claiming?
Any advice gratefully received
