  • Roof leak after ridge replacement

Hi we had the ridgetiles on our home replaced with a dry ridge system after advice from an alleged roofer we got off Mybuilder.

They made a total mess of the job and have not rectified any of the issues and we have been unable to find another roofer who will do a report on the roof as they don't want the liability.

We have now noticed damp around the chimney breast in the loft that was not there before the botched work so can only figure this is yet more issues due to the shoddy work.

As we have been unable to get another roofer to check the roof it's put us off trying a small claim so feel our only option will be to put in an insurance claim to have the roof sorted.

Is this the right way to do this as we are at a loss of what else to do.

    Thanks Bill

You are covered by the Consumer Rights Act 2015

    How did you pay?

What could do is get a report from an expert witness, get several quotes, pick the nearest one to you.

Do any of your insurance products has legal expenses cover? Often tagged on to insurance policies.
