  • Voluntary Termination of PCP

    Hi everyone!

I'm getting prepped to exercise my right to voluntary termination. I have read through the guide and just have a couple small questions.

    1. When can I cancel my direct debit payments? I know the guide says once the contract is cancelled, but do I need to wait till the finance company inform me that is has cancelled, or I can once I have sent the letter in email?

    2. If the answer is yes to the second part, should I mention in the letter that I have/will be cancelling immediately?

    3. If I don't agree with the assessment and charges for fair wear and tear, can I get my own second opinion elsewhere, and insist they are correct (should they deem damage is reasonable)?

    Many thanks!

    I forgot one more question...

If using the letter template, do i need to change "hire-purchase" to PCP? Or its the same thing?
