  • Letters from LS Asset Link Financial

    Hi Legal Beagles
link financial on behalf of LS Assett have sent letters claiming that are trying to recoup an old Barclaycard debt. These letters were sent to my in-laws address where I lived nearly 6 years ago before moving to a different country. I rang the company and according to them this was the last known address that Barclaycard had for me but never had any correspondence of them in previous 6 years whilst not living there. They said the latest payment was made in 2019 but I have not made any payments.
is this enforceable in a different country? How do I go about this?

    Hi PERNOD

Providing no payments or communications has been made over the last 6 years admitting the debt, then the debt is statue barred.

What you could do regards the payment they say you made, is send them a SAR, they have 30 days to provide all the data on the account.

Make sure you get Proof of Postage.
