We went out with a couple of friends on Saturday we all used the same carpark it was parking eye managed a £5 all day. The first couple paid at the pay and display machine no problem. We arrived with our other friend who had difficulty with the machine- the contactless function wouldn't work so he inserted his bank card and his pay and display ticket was produced. We had the same difficulty my husband tried to pay on his phone and it wouldn't work so entered my card it did not ask for a pin number and a ticket was produced. My husband went back to the car displayed the ticket and off we went. Yesterday we've had a parking ticket to say we didn't pay. When we've checked the bank no payment was taken and my husband has since cleared the rubbish from the car so no pay and display ticker either. How do we appeal i know we've paid but we have no evidence. We've tried the bank to see if a payment pending then cancelled as no pin was sued but they say they cant see anything. is there any hope i don't want to pay a fine that's due to their broken machine. Please help x
