Hello.. first post so please forgive me if i am not doing this correctly. I am in a quandary about a land purchase about to go through. the building which has 9 flats over 2 floors has a strip of land along the back of the building and along the side. the two pieces of land are, at the moment are being sold separately. I am taking the side strip as it runs adjacent to our apartment. the other piece of land which runs across the back of the building will have no direct access by the person buying it.. as they live on the 1st floor. They are asking for right of way to access their land for land maintenance mainly. the issue I have is that they are asking for a key. I rent this apartment at the moment .so providing a key to someone other than the tenant is questionable.... can I offer right of way without giving the other buyer a key ? they have agreed to 48hours notice.. their land is landlocked with the only access being via the street and the side gate which will become ours. any help is greatly appreciated
right of way
