Hi, I'm just following the advice on the main page to ask for some advice.
Received a claim? Yes
Issue Date: 02 DEC 2021
Have you Acknowledged the Claim?: Yes
Total Amount Claimed : £300
Claimant’s Name: UK CAR PARK MANAGEMENT LIMITED
Solicitors Firm: GLADSTONES SOLICITORS LIMITED
Original Creditor: Unsure
Original Debt: PCN
Particulars of Claim: ( Please type out in full excluding names/account numbers/exact amounts ): The driver of the vehicle with registration *******(the 'Vehicle') parked in breach of the terms of parking stipulated on the signage (the 'Contract') at *********, on **/12/2019 thus incurring the parking charge (the 'PCN'). The PCN was not paid within 28 days of issue. The Claimant claims the unpaid PCN from the Defendant as the driver/keeper of the Vehicle. Despite demands being made, the Defendant has failed to settle their outstanding liability. THE CLAIMANT CLAIMS £*** for the PCN, £*** contractual costs pursuant to the Contract and PCN terms and conditions, together with the statuary interest of £*** pursuant to s69 of the County Courts Act 1984 at 8.00% per annum, continuing at £0.04 per day.
Is the debt Statute Barred (have you had any contact with the creditor or claimant over the last 6 years?): No contact with them at all, letters were sent to the keepers' Mums' and she returned the letters a few times, writing on them that the keeper no longer lives at that address.
List any letters you have sent: None at the moment.
Any Other Information or Background Details: I was unsure of what to leave out in the particulars but I'm more than happy to elaborate if needed. The parking was in another city (London) and I don't have the original PCN. I have a few of the notices that were sent and that's pretty much it. I don't actually remember the incident at all and until reading the county court claim form, I had assumed it was for a completely different location. I ignored because that's the local advice Lol sorry for any trouble
