Do please be aware the contributors to this open forum give their time voluntarily and for free.

If the comments given by contributors are not useful, a person can always pay for professional advice from a solicitor.

Your son, who I assume is the person named as the defendant in the matter, may find the following link useful.
    https://www.gov.uk/respond-to-court-claim-for-money

My own view, for what it's worth, is that if the defendant has not responded within 14 days of the date of issue of the claim form, judgment in default will be entered against him.

If that is the case, the defendant in this matter may wish to consider making an application to set aside that judgment.

To date you have been giving confusing information. Being the owner is irrelevant, of relevance is who was the registered keeper, keeper or driver at the time time. You are claiming you were possibly the registered keeper yet your son is the defendant. Usually the first letter is to the registered keeper so how is your son being held liable now? Did you name him? Whose name was on the V5 document, the log book ?

Also irrelevant is wether someone is on the insurance or not.

Nobody said you would not get a CCJ registered against you if it was BWL what was said was that there would be no CCJ recorded IF you lost in court and IF you paid the court sum within 30 days.

So far you have not given us anything at all to help prepare a defence, no copies of initial PCN nor even the claim form. If you have not acknowledged the claim then do it online NOW, though it may be too late. You have 19 days from date of issue to do it. Not even given the name of the parking company.

SAR to the parking company, they have 30 days to respond.
CPR 31.14 request to the solicitor for all the documents they intend to use in court, including images of the sign that created the alleged contract. The template was intended for credit issues so remove items mentioning that.
