Hello,
I would like some advice with regards to a view if you may think that I have a valid claim to the SRA fund please & with the following circumstances in mind, thank you;
1. In February 2012 I invested my previous final salary Pension of £103,400 via a SIPP into Store First Ltd. This was done after I had previously been cold called to invest in late 2011 by a Spanish based & unregulated company called TPS Land Ltd.
2. The Solicitor that I used to process this SIPP investment were actually advertising for the work within the glossy SF sales brochure that TPS Land had sent to me. These Solicitor's were the Hetherington's of Hoylake on the Wirral.
3. I paid the Hetherington's £666 [HOW APT I soon discovered!] from my SIPP bank account to do the required work for me.
4. I very soon realized that this investment was in fact a Pension's scam. Today the SFO are investigating and this is their biggest ever investigation into Pension theft I here confirm.
5. The Hetherington's SRA SDT ended on 09/08/21. This brother & sister Bonny & Clyde Barrow of the Profession were permanently removed for actual dishonesty on that day. Previously in October 2017 the SRA raided their Wirral office and closed them down then for merely suspected dishonest practices.
6. We all now await the much anticipated SDT written findings which will be out in late September 2021. I understand that it is very unlikely that the Hetherington's will now appeal this most severe of sanctions. Further the Hetherington's were also handed the SDT legal bill of £98,000 for this week long tribunal.
7. The Hetherington's work linked to SF was disclosed as being circa 78% of their entire annual income. This is of course both extremely suspicious and as the sales brochure confirmed shows that they were extremely 'Experienced' in producing these worthless investment contracts. Indeed the STD confirmed that they had produced over 7,000 of them including my own here.
8. In early 2018 I received £50,000 from the FSCS linked to my then SIPP trustees the equally culpable Stadia trustees Ltd of Colchester. This sum was the then maximum for SIPP claims at the FSCS. I understand that this limit has now been raised to £85,000 however by the FSCS.
Much more has occurred on my epic journey chasing this pair as I have since mid 2014. However unless asked for more details which I am more than happy to give could you please confirm if you think I may have a valid claim today at the SRA fund. Also if this is the case what sum should I now be trying to claim & do you think there may be a possibility of an interest award if I get a claim possibly going all the way back to February 2012 please.
Many thanks in advance for any possible views on my chances of success here if I were to claim at the fund.
Best Regards,
John.
