It appears the court or the royal mail has lost my certificate of service.
I currently have a default judgement but the claim amount has not be determined.
I have proof of postage. The court has ordered that they themselves will serve the claim document (it was solicitor service as out of jurisdiction).
I can't understand why this is correct. The judge refused to allow me to resubmit a new certificate of service and seemed convinced that the defendant hasn't received the claim for because as they hadn't filed a defence.
Am I sh*t out of luck and have to wait another 6+ months for the court to serve, await a response or no response and then another hearing to determine damages?
