I had Boiler Cover with CertiUk from November 2019/November 2020 all went well that year but probably because I never needed any repairs so just paid my monthly payments and got on with life. But on receiving my renewal quote which was almost double I decided not to renew with them and started looking elsewhere.
During my search I noticed that if I renewed with CertiUk online it was way cheaper so of course I did. All went well for 6 months then I needed an engineer to assist with a possible leak in my boiler. That’s where it all went downhill, CertiUk sent an engineer who informed me that it “wasn’t an easy job”. I heard nothing for a week so I called and called and called again all to no avail. I then received an email informing me that my cover was cancelled and that no work would be carried out due to the fact that I never accepted their renewal quote!!!
I took the appropriate steps and started a civil court case to recover my money that I had spent to fix the repair and also retrieve the payments that I had made and to add insult to injury CertiUk took the £50 excess!! I have now received a letter saying that CertiUk had a month to pay me all the money due to me, result, but now I have received another email saying that my judgment may not be registered because CertiUk might be a limited company??
Can anyone advise me on what the heck I do next, the 16th August 2021 was the deadline for them to pay me the monies
