  • CCJ and Hoist finance, what to do next?

Hi, 5 years ago I was made redundant, I had a Barclaycard 6k and HSBC loan 8k, my partner committed suicide shortly after and I did not know what to do next. I had never defaulted or not paid anything on time in my life, perfect credit rating but a low earning career, the fear of defaulting led me to make a decision to move abroad, stick head in the sand and forgot it all, not my best decision but at the time the only one capable of making.
I have recently checked and the loan went to a CCJ in 2017, I had never had any contact from either debt by email until a few weeks ago when I had an one from Hoist finance about Barclaycard debt.
I don't know what to do for best, I may want to return to the UK in the future. I cannot afford to pay debts off in full, should I offer a settlement figure to Hoist before that also ends up with a CCJ? I have no idea where to start on the other CCJ as I have no idea who took on that debt. Many thanks
