If you intend on submitting that as your defence I suspect the judge will throw it out the window. All you've done is listed a series of statements that gives no background, no explanation in reasonable detail why their claim is meritless or they have no case - you should really try to give it some detail and pad out those points you've listed to persuade the judge you have a reasonable prospect of successfully defending the claim.
Do you have a copy of the claim form? If not you really should get that from the court to help assist in your defence and understand what VCS are claiming. If you do have it, can you post up the particulars of claim word for word.
