Welcome finance

I had a loan in 2005 with Welcome finance. The loan was paid back in full. I am selling my home now but my solicitor has informed me that this loan is still showing active and still secured against my property. I have contacted Coast finance who took over the Welcome Finance and they have no record of my loan existing.
who would I contact now to get proof that my loan was paid off in full as Welcome finance have been Liquidated and Coast finance who took over them know nothing about me.
