  • divorce and what is going to happen next

I have asked my husband for a divorce which he feels is also the best option - we have been married nearly 9 years and have 1 7 year old daughter
Ther e is no third party involved the marriage has broken down - my O/H works abroad for work and so we are used to in a way living our won lives
I used to have good job but i lost that due to my own stupidity 2 years ago and it was agreed that i would take a part time job and be able to collect our child everyday from school instead -
My other half has now said that when he leaves all i will get is for him to pay half the mortgage and that's it - is this the case as i will need to go back to getting a full time job to pay for the short fall - how will it go with care fro my daughter she will stay with me as he can be away for long periods of time - is paying half the mortgage classed as providing for our daughter - im at a loss what to do i have a appointment with a divorce lawyer but not for another 2 weeks at present we are cohabiting as i can not afford for him to move out - any advice will be gratefully received

Your nearly ex is in for a surprise. He will be expected to provide accommodation for you and your daughter till she leaves secondary education. He must also support you and her.
