I have recently moved into a detached house on a new build estate, a small part of my land runs down the side of the neighbours drive, which is only wide enough to keep a bin on, but runs the length of the drive. The people that have recently moved into the house next door have decided to keep there bins on the bit of land. I haven’t said anything as I never go down that side of the house as it is so close to there drive, & I didn’t really see it as a problem although thought it was a bit rude as they didn’t ask first. But after reading something recently I am worried if I don’t ask them to move the bins they might try claim the land as there own. My husband doesn’t see it as a problem as the footing are underneath it. Can anyone advice.

A bit of a liberty.
Most unlikely that they will ever be able to make a successful adverse possession claim, but in the future could lead to some friction.
I wonder if they realise where the boundary lies.
It might be worthwhile inviting your new neighbours in for a chat and a cuppa and bring the matter up in the course of conversation.
You can always tell them at the moment you don't mind them parking their bins on your land, but you might need to have them moved when carrying out maintenance.
If you give them permission, you can always withdraw it later if you want.
