  • Asked for judgement in default, what next?

    Hello all!
someone owes me money (12K now), and ignores all my communication.
i have submitted MCOL, he ignored the claim. Today i asked court for judgement on the grounds that he had not responded and in the form i asked for all the sum to be paid by 16/04.
I am assuming the debtor would keep ignoring and envisage having to request for enforcement with attachment to earnings or property (he has both salary and various small assets)
What is the next step I need to make and when?
reading gov.uk, but the sequence of steps is not very clear, and i am afraid of making a mistake and cause unnecessary delay.
    thank you for any advice!

My wife and myself done a joint claim for ppi. Since then we have separated. A cheque was made out in my wife's name but sent to my address. I gave the cheque to her but she is in the understanding that it is her money. Do ppi companion issue two cheques in a joint claim or just the one. I am hoping that it is one cheque to split between us. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

CLAIMANT. If you have taken this person to court and now in possession of a CCJ. (Make sure you have the persons correct name, that is most important) You then advise the company DCBL Bailiffs, Just google them, cost £66 they will do their utmost to recover your money, apart from that you proceed to put a Charge on their property, that means they are not able to sell the property until you are paid first.

Archie, thank you for your response, I only have applied online for judgement yesterday, so probably i am not in possession of a CCJ yet. How would I know if/when I am?
How soon after I get a ccj against him can i apply for enforcement?
