County court claim

I have received a letter N24 general form of judgment or order - asking for me to file and serve on the claimant a document of amended defence. my question is - are they just asking for a more detailed defence, or does this sound like they haven't had my original ? the claim is for a debt of which i have letters stating this is unenforceable - from the collector company. Should I add anything further ?
