  • Supplier has only part delivered

Hi - I purchased a set of expensive (£17K) sliding doors from an independent company back in August. They were originally delivered in December but the manufacturer built them to the incorrect specification meaning that a replacement set got installed earlier this year. The company I purchased the doors from have make a couple of attempts to fix the isses (one door works fine, one door doesn't lock, the other is incredibly stiff) and had promised to come to site with a representitive from the manufacturer to assist getting the doors working last week however I got a call to say they were unable to attend due to the driver having a prang on the motorway. Since then, I've tried making contact with my 3 contacts there via phone, WhatsApp and email but no response (their phones ring but the call gets dropped after a few rings...I can see they have seen my WhatsApp messages due to the 'last seen today at...' marker).

I have paid approx £15.5K (per the contracted payment schedule) via credit card & the remaining balance was due upon completion of the instillation. So, now I've £15.5K down(I have the receipts), have a set of semi-working doors, no warranty documentation. Would apreciate any thoughts on my rights, protection I have via my santander credit card & what legal position I may have with a contract in place (the contract has no penalty clauses).

    Thank you...

I would be talking to your credit card company asking them to either intercede on your behalf or issue a refund of all monies paid.
