We are still no further forward the probate solicitor is not responding to any communication from our solicitor we believe they are stalling the process as they have made many mistakes in the application paperwork there claiming there’s 19k short in IHT bill but the form submitted shows there’s more than enough money in the bank to show this can be paid this has now become a stalemate can our solicitor force the issue
any help appreciated

executor's solicitor only has to communicate with the executor, no need for him to reply to anyone else.
You could apply as per post 15, but you have to be guided by your solicitor
