  • Reconstituted CCA Agreement

    Hi

I have a long term debt that I believe to have been incurred by an ex that no longer lives in this country but is in my name. I have requested the CCA agreement and have been provided with a reconstituted agreement. This does not have the address on it that the debtor claims I lived at when then credit card was issued. They cannot tell me if the credit card was taken out online or in the branch itself. They have also provided me with 2 different reconstituted agreements which they claim the first was for a card issued in 2004 and the second for a card issued in 2006. They have also told me the card was issued in 2006, yet now they've changed this to 2004...I feel like I am being being bombarded with bull to get me to pay for this. Would someone clarify what the responsibilities of the creditor are around the CCA agreement and what information it should contain? Otherwise they could literally be telling me anything to scare me into paying a debt that I am not responsible for.

Have you ever made a payment? Have you ever acknowledged you owe the debt? When you say reconstituted agreement are these generic agreements without a signature?
