  • Mortgage and divorce

    Good Evening
I'm really worried. As of today I'm legally divorced from my husband, however the assets have not been split yet. We have bought a house together when married, the mortgage is under our both names. My husband was in control of all our finances during our marriage and he was paying the mortgage out of his own separate account using the money that both me and him were earning. Now aftee we separated, he continued to do so and I was just paying half of the mortgage directly to his account rather than to a bank. He said it's ok to do it that way and I trusted him. However in light of the recent events, I'm really worried that it's not true and he can usw it against me when dividing the assets. Is it possible? Are my bank statements showing that I saz sending him money towards the mortage evsdy month enough? Can he claim in court that as payments sere going out of his account and not a joint one, it's him who should be entitled to the house? Should I stop paying him? I'm so confused and so worried... Please help me.
