  • Inheritance Rights

Good Evening, I am hoping for a little assistance as I am being told different information from different legal persons.

Below is a quick brief of the situation:

My mother had a baby (me) to a married man, of which I was kept a secret to his wife.

Whilst he was living a luxury lifestyle, we lived on the breadline, often without food.

Whilst my mum would try and claim CSA for support, his solicitor/accountant would claim he was unable to afford the payments, although driving Rolls Royces, living in million pounds homes with additional holiday homes.

Although he was happy to contribute to the abortion of me, giving my mum the money.

I have recently found out he has passed away (2018) and was wondering where I stood, if I was due to inherit anything.

He had a wife and 3 additional children. They have all lived the same lifestyle as he, including private educations.

    Please can somebody assist.

I am being told I am unable to claim due to the time expiring? Yet how am I to know, when my secret father who hides himself away dies?

    Thank you in advance.

    C.

I believe there is a right of inheritance due to association, I was told that when my Brother died there could be people coming out of the woodwork, and claiming for a share, now they also told me you could take the estate to court and they would have to defend or pay up or both if they defend and lose.
