  • Allocation to the small claims court

Long story short if possible, I was in an abusive relationship which included financial abuse 13 yrs ago, when I fled the home my ex continued to build up debts in my name his name any credit available to him, once I managed to get my head somewhat straight I discovered many debts in my name which yes some were originally mine, in addressing all of them I set up small payments just to keep them at bay they just kept coming I just kept paying. However as the years have gone on I've realised I don't want to pay for something that's not actually mine, I stopped paying and decided to address one at a time properly and actually know who and what it's for.

So recently I had a letter from a solicitor taking me to court for an unpaid debt, I filed a defense claim with the court and asked for a signed copy of the credit agreement, which the solicitor responded with it was opened on or around 18th May 2005 and a request from the original creditor has been requested, I have now received any.
I now have a letter from the court regarding mediation or a hearing and I have no clue what to do.
    Please help if you can
I'm working full time and still don't have a penny to my name and 3 kids to look after time and money are not on my side.
    Thanks.
