  • Can 2006 CCJ's still be enforced

Good Day - Could someone please advise on where I stand regarding the following please: In 2007 a CCJ for £30,000+ was entered against me when I was married. We eventually divorced I moved out of the home and went live with my mother for a few years - I recall getting communication, but didn't respond or enter any payment arrangement. My mother eventually moved and I endup with no fixed abode for a several years. I am now settled and renting a flat and started receiving correspondence with regards to the CCJ. I haven't spoken to the acting solictor but have written to asking for details of original credit arrangement but they have not be able to provide it. I did try to contact the court for more information on the judgement, but was advised because there had been no activity and the judgement was so old, it had now been deleted from the court system. So my question is can the CCJ still be pursued and enforced without permission from the court. And, if they did go to court to ask for permission would it be granted given the records have been deleted from the court system.
Many thanks in advance if anyone can advise.
