I recently returned a car after a three year lease deal, which, other than expected wear and tear was in immaculate condition. A few weeks later I received an invoice for three separate pieces of damage for a small amount of money. I phoned RCI and in that conversation two of the three scrapes were removed. I still didn't agree and asked if they could email the picture of the damaged area so that I could compare it to my own pictures I had taken. Eventually on the third attempt they sent me their pic and to me it looks like the damage in their pic was a lot worse than in mine. I sent them an email including the two pics and asked them if they could account for the differences. In another phone call I received a pretty unsatisfactory explanation for the differences.
The amount in question is fairly small but I feel it is more a point of principle. What can I now do? Is this one of these just pay up its not worth the hassle?
