  • Help with understanding a restriction on the title

    Hello, I am remortgaging my property. I brought the house from new. At the time of purchase (2007) there was a management company "looking" after the road before it became adopted by the local authorities. Since then the management company have become dissolved on companies house, because I imagine the company was no longer required etc etc
    basically there is a restriction on the title. Which read's as follows

    "Not to dispose (other than by way of mortgage or assured short hold tenancy) of the property unless the disponee".....

    Dose any one understand what this means?
