Hi I wondered if anyone can help me, I have received a letter from HMRC asking for £7500 dated from 2008 to 2014, I have spoken to citizens advice and they have spoken to hmrc who have said I can not appeal it and I owe it, is there anything I can do, can I get it status barred or anything else.

I had a similar issue a good few years ago and found I was hitting my head off a brick wall with them. In the end I served a SAR to include phone calls - end result was them owing me.

SAR = Subject Access Request - when it came there were 2/300 pages & 2 CDs of phone calls, it was the phone calls that caught them out.
