  • Refund

Now I am not complaining. We received a letter in October from Lowell, saying unless we paid over £7000 we owed we would have a county court judgement. We set up 3 payments for Oct/ Nov/Dec. We had to take a mortgage holiday in order to afford it. We paid October and November. We then got a letter which said there was an error and they were going to write the remaining debt off.and it would be removed from my credit file. I phoned up (as I thought it was too good to be true) They wouldn't tell me what the issue was. But it was correct. Today we received all the money back we had paid, which we were not expecting. We can't get too excited as could they have made a mistake. What could they have done that warranted the refund etc. Ran to the bank very quickly this morning.

Put the money in an interest, ok pathetic returns, account and ring fence it as just in case.
If nothing happens a nice lump sum.
