  • Letter from DRP about an “infraction” from FOUR years ago. Help please.

    Hi all,

This is my first post so please be kind! Long story short, haven’t heard from DRP for several years now and this letter has come through the post at my since new address. Now, this original “ticket” is from 4 and a half years ago. Can they still chase me or has a deadline elapsed on their side and they are just chancing their luck? Also worth noting, they have actually been spelling my name wrong the whole time. Does this constitute their claim useless? How can you take a company’s word as legit when they can’t even get your name right?

Any advice anyone? Do I just ignore? Thanks!

The deadline is 6 years. Have you received a Notice to Keeper about this?

Is the difference in name a major difference?

And ignore 8s not a good idea.

One additional letter in first name. What’s a notice to keeper?

so if ignoring is not a good idea, what is a good idea?

Extra letter is of minimal significance. What was on your V5 document?

A good idea was to appeal against the charge. This could ge heading to court.

Notice to Keeper is the first letter from UKCPS asking for money.

If you feel like that then I'll bow out but without info how can I help?

Suggest you look at other threads with my name instead of sitting within your own thread.
