Condolences on the loss of your mother.

Some security personnel overstep their authority (which is close to nothing)
Pushing you without reason is an assault, and should never happen. They may only use reasonable force if necessary to detain a thief or prevent damage or injury etc.

The store can ban whoever they want and for no reason at all.
If you do go back they can only ask you to leave, but if whilst there you should steal you could be charged with burglary, a more serious offence than theft.

You don't mention the name of the store, but it is quite likely that you will receive a letter from a third party company asking you to pay a sum of money (around £150 is normal).
This letter will be dressed in up to make you think it is a legal demand for alleged security costs, and will be quite intimidating.
However there is no requirement for you to actually pay them anything as there has been no loss to the store and the letter should be ignored.
There will be follow up letters, but they too can be ignored and eventually they will cease sending them.

Do not contact these people, as it only seems to encourage them to hound their victims.

Keep safe, relax and enjoy Christmas
