  • Consent to mortgage form

I live in the house with my landlord and I was told to my landlord that I needed to sign a document because he wanted to get a mortgage. A few days later I received a letter from a solicitor's firm saying "Thank you for returning the consent to mortgage form. Unfortunately, this document was not completed correctly" It had attached a Halifax document to sign.

I did no sign any previous documents, so I called to the solicitor's firm to ask for clarifications. The solicitor's firm said that, there was a mistake in the letter, that the purpose of the letter was to notify that I did no have any interest in the property"

I asked by email to the solicitor's firm asking if all said by phone could be confirmed on writing. As per today they do not reply to my emails and the landlord has given me new bank details.

    Any advice on this?

    Thank you
