Hi
i received a claim form, claimant is Hoist and the original debt was with capital one.
capital one is not an open account on my credit file but Hoist is shown as open with a default of august 2016 however I can not find any evidence of any payment to this account in the last six years to Capital or any other debt collection agency and I have no paperwork relating to this debt.I need help to know whether to or how I should defend this claim. Please give advice in layman’s terms.
The default date does not look right because I am sure I would have defaulted years before this date.
