    Hi.
    I cancelled sky subscription when I moved house. Fast forward 7 years and I discover that Sky were still collecting the direct debit. Called sky who said sorry an error at their end stopped the dd getting cancelled. Not a problem said I just refund me and all is good. I then get a cheque for half the amount. Call sky who now say it’s policy to only refund for 3 years. Complained to bank who said that’s not right and refunded the difference under the direct debit guarantee. Sky are now chasing me for that money. Keep telling them I’m not paying but they are having none of it. Am I wrong.

    They may have a "policy" but that doesn't detract from the fact that the took payment without authority
