  • BMW approved used (missold)

    Hey,

I thought I would try my luck here for some guidance.

I recently purchased a vehicle from a BMW dealership. The vehicle was part of their ‘approved and used’ range meaning it has got full BMW service history.

I paid for the vehicle on 17th October 2020. I can go into detail but long story short, it turns out there was a service in August 2020 which did not happen. The last service was in 2018 at 27k miles and I purchased the vehicle at 48k miles. I did originally pick this up when I was at the dealership but they told me don’t worry, it does have full BMW service history and it’s computer based so takes into account how the previous person was driving.

Therefore I don’t believe it meets the requirement of BMW used and approved.

BMW dealership said we have rectified this fault for you now by performing a service. The service they have performed is still not in line with BMW recommendation which is a full service every 18k miles or every 2 years.

BMW service guy said he believe it does meet the terms because it’s now been serviced and it’s only a few months off and couple 1000’s off the recommended mileage.

Do I have a base here to take this to small claims court? I have no idea about the process so any advice would be appreciated.
