    I received this text. The link goes to a debt collection agency. Apparently I owe £485. I have receieved no other communication about this ever. There is no information at all about why and there is no way to contact anyone for information. I don't have that money.

    Pretty freaked out.

      Please don't start multiple threads it becomes confusing.
      They are a genuine company and from your other thread it looks like it might be a fine or perhaps a traffic penalty you are unaware of.
      Ask for more details

    Might be scary, but they are a genuine company and that is one of their telephone numbers.

      It looks like an unpaid Magistrates Court Fine. You need to contact them to find out what it is all about. The chances are the fine will be for a previous address and if you knew nothing about it should be able to appeal against it. Come back when you need more help.
