Hope you can help? I raised a claim and due to Covid a telephone hearing was scheduled. On the day of the hearing I sat with my 2 mobile phones and my paperwork bundle awaiting a call from the court. I never received the call. I emailed the court the same day informing them I had received no call. Subsequently I received a order informing the claim was struck out but I could appeal to have this set aside If I had a reasonable explanation.. I immediately wrote back to the court informing them I was ready and prepared for the call but I never received a call? Today, I have now received a letter from the court informing me I can apply to have the claim reinstated, to do so, I need to complete form N244 and pay a fee of £255.00. This seems wholly unfair to me as I never received the call. Can anyone offer advice?
