  • VIP membership

I have been impressed by the forum and the generosity of some posters sharing knowledge and giving up time.
I would like to contribute something financially and looked for VIP membership. However can't locate any information. Thanks.

If you have a question about the voluntary termination process, please read this guide first, as it should have all the answers you need. Please do not hijack another person's thread as I will not respond to you

Hi - thanks for your comments. There is no need to donate, but thank you for thinking of us. Through a combination of advertising and tech/research work we are self supporting.
VIP is now used only to recognise members who help regularly - they are our true VIP's.
We also occasionally grant regular members access to a VIP forum if their case is sensitive or must be held back from public discussion.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
